Travel Document for Palestinian Refugees

Starting 1 February 2017, the Lebanese Directorate General of General Security has started issuing machine readable (Non biometric) for Palestinians refugees residing abroad.
Please note that the biometric travel document for Palestinian refugees can only be obtained directly from the General Directorate of General Security in Lebanon for the first time, while the Embassies and Consulates will deliver the machine-readable travel document for Palestinian refugees. If the applicant already carries the biometric passport and it has expired, he/she is advised to apply for a new one through the embassy. Manual extension is no longer allowed.
The process will take 3 months to complete (at no additional cost), or 3-4 weeks via DHL Fasttrack (rushed service, for an additional fee of $85). For more information about the new travel document application and DHL Fasttrack payments.
